It comes equipped with four card slots and a front USB 3.0 Type-A port connected directly to the motherboard for fast data transfer speeds. Motherboard Compatibility Considerations The Akasa AK-ICR-27 uses a cable which need to be connected to the motherboard. The cable is a standard USB3.0 internal connector; this drives the USB 3.0 Type-A port and the card reader. Most; if not all new motherboards have at least one suitable USB 3.0 connector however these are normally used to attach USB 3 ports from the front/top of your PC case. Before ordering; please check that you have the required motherboard ports available to connect the two USB cables.
