Gelid 3-pin Fan Resistor Cable GEL-RESISTOR-7V

The Gelid 3-pin Fan Resistor Cable is a very simple way of reducing the fan speed (RPM) of any 12 volt fan. In turn; this will reduce the noise emitted by the fan and also the amount of air it moves (usually measured in CFM; cubic feet per minute). The amount of speed; noise and CFM reduction all depends on the type of fan it is being used on; but expect the figures to be around 50% lower. It is compatible with standard 3-pin fans as well as 4-pin PWM fans; although when used with a PWM fan you will lose the automatic voltage regulation a PWM fan offers.
Please note: This cable will only work with 12 volt fans. If used on a 5V fan the fan blades may not rotate without intervention due to not receive enough power.
